while believing
one has not deserved any better
than indifference

is temporary
conjugation
breaking the rules
by taking the laws
into our own hands
cannot be
conjugated
though
forgiven
dear
holding dear
the moment
honouring
the present
leaning into light
handing over
handing over
with grace
the responsibility
to the one
who is meant
to carry it
with grace
somewhat
somewhat lost
in the aftermath of the wind
as the morning sun
is colouring the naked world
in pink
somewhat frail
with the wish to assimilate
every new aspect
of the tale
stumble
discovering the missing part
which had been
thoroughly mystified
and systematically ignored
in order to keep
the coherence of
an inconsistent tale
finding the missing part
stumbling upon it
while the search had been suspended
as the wish to understand was replaced
by a turn
towards mercy
daunting
approaching the essence
under storm and rain
after generations of
exile
can only be
daunting
even repulsing
until the mind begins to grasp
that mercy is to be found
in the core
of the matter
