to a new chapter

entering through

the golden balance

between

courage and caution

allowing joy to take the lead

always remembering

the depths of sorrow

and the wonders of life

which brought us to

where we are

the urge to complain

might be seen

as an expression

that

we have taken upon us

a responsibility

beyond

what is ours

being able to see

that one is not being heard

can be a tender relief

from lifelong

misunderstandings

though when

not being heard means

we no longer ask

life itself

is lost

and all there is left

is

survival

redeeming shame

can be

of utmost beauty

when the shadows

lingering in a settled mind

is suddenly transformed

by death

into angels of light

peace

finally final peace

peacefully prepared

in fine preparations

for the final

farewell

the change of colours

on the landscape

as light shifts

reflecting with surgical precision

and transparent clarity

what was so far

invisible

when healing guilt

is considered to be

a personal responsibility

one is mostly lost

somewhere down the road

swallowed by a momentous task

beyond

anyone’s capacities

that everything can be

forgiven

or every experience transformed

into a lesson of deep learning

does not mean

everything can be

explained

even less

justified

stirred

but not shaken

is how

the atrocities

of human behaviours

might be faced

without losing faith

learning to accept

how

being in the right place

at the proper time

sometimes means

being somewhere different

from

where our emotions

or our understanding

would want us to be
