shift of life

where darkness is

forever

out of sight

being able to meet

our neighbour

where our neighbour truly is

and not where we want

or wish

or believe

our neighbour

to be

is an exercise

of introspection

subtle signs

that spring is

once again

overcoming darkness

unfolding into magnificence

being possessed

is

just as dreadful

as it is

delightful to be

released

practising kindness

begins

by

practising kindness

towards

ourselves

when the desire

to possess

and understand

is purified by

the fire consuming fear

mere observations can

open up

for wisdom to unfold

and life to prevail

holding back

our fire

out of fear

is what most of us

do

though what a blaze

when we dare

to let fear be consumed

by the flames

of love

the deeper sense

and purpose

being revealed

does not necessarily

broaden the understanding

though

what it necessarily does

is pointing out the direction

for the way

the truth

and the life

when a fury

for no apparent reason

is raging through the body

it might be

worth it

to sit quiet the time

for the storm

to pass

golden sunshine

falling abundantly

through a naked tree

revealing the structure

in all its fragile beauty

for everyone to see

how nothing can

stay hidden

while to be

glorified
