faces

behind every face

is a story

the sound of steady rain

falling through darkness

while cold humidity is taking over

the ruling

of every room of the house

leaves are chancing colours

slowly letting go of their glamorous appearances

preparing for the last dance

on a wild wind

not knowing the moment

but still preparing

every cell of their structure

in dignity

behind every face is a story

sometimes we are lucky enough

to be told

one of them

autumn

the wind continue

whirling up a certain insecurity

lying dormant under the surface

the ancestral fear

of how to get through the winter

merged with actual fear

of what is to come

in a world

where everything seems to be changing

and no one seems to know

into what

justice

a new beginning

of a different kind of life

beyond judgement

but certainly not

without justice

there is a time . . .

a rooster is calling for the day to break

while the wind chase away shadows of the night

and the body desperately struggle

adapting to the change of season

the closing of every window

the layers upon layers of clothes

to protect against it all

the lack of light

the cold

the despair that comes along with it

an most of all

the unknown

it is time to light a fire

dance

there is a sound of autumn in the wind

preparing the sensitive ear

for what is not yet to be seen clearly

the night’s freshness announces

that summer is gone

soon leaves will be dancing in the air

revealing naked structures

of every tree in the forest

darkness is closing in on us

but perhaps it is

the most propitious time of the year

to leave appearance for a moment

and rediscover the essence

of who we are

unnoticed

transformations sometimes happen

unnoticed

at least

for everybody else

than the one being transformed

but it does not make the experience

neither less important

nor less impressive

whether it is a transformation form dark to light

of from light to dark

or from dark to despair

or from light to bliss

transformation is transformation

and time should always be granted

to absorb and recover

equinox

summer is ending

the time of darkness is

from this day on

growing longer than the time of light

until the earth has accomplished

another half circle

on its path

around the sun

independent of

all what is happening

on the surface

almost

exhausted

is how nature must feel by now

just exhausted

by continuing its glamorous appearance

while no nourishment has been granted

for the main part

of the two most demanding seasons

when it comes to effort

that of spring

and that of summer

it is hardly to be seen

meaning

there runs a certain continuity in the appearance

which prevent the inattentive spectator from observing

the difference

yet behind the scenery

the strength is running dry

and the effort it takes

to keep up the smile

is almost

insurmountable

almost

being enough

for life to go on

until rain comes again
