stepping into silence

experiencing quietude

where fear only rules

to be pushed further away

by every step

we take

where expectations are

only there

to nourish the trust

how

all shall be well

being loyal

is a natural behaviour

running in the blood

though when

we are being loyal to something

going against our nature

just because

this is how

we were brought up

the spine of our being in this world

degenerate

while we believe ourselves

to be good

where

being good implies

being faithful to

what we believe to be

true

calling a situation

by its proper name

rather than describing

either what we have been told it

to be

or what we would have wished it

to be

is delivering truth

hence peace

if not with the situation

then

within

being held responsible

for the shortcomings of others

is just as common

as it is

unpleasant

becoming aware

this is what is happening

liberating

a subtle sound

of soft bells

as the wind comes from the south

and the moon shifts

while the sky is grey

and one single crimson tree

is flourishing

in the middle of the green

breaking the law

in the name of love

is a delicate balance

to find

where all sorts of abuse

can occur

yet

breaking the law

in the name of love

might sometimes be

the only truthful way

ahead

being nailed

to the cross

of humiliation

is about

as unpleasant

as to explain

why

we all tend

to avoid it

though

it is through that very cross

mercy can reach

the world

to offer what

we do not possess

in order to possess

what cannot be grasped

is an old story

and yet it is being written

over and over

again

just a few words

of kindness

can sometimes be

enough

to unravel

and disentangle

a situation

of tension

taking into account

the actual state of mind

is all the more important when

the actual state of mind

is far from

what we had expected

or just hoped for it

to be
