no longer being in debt
to anything but
truth

heaps of sadness
coming to the surface
under a clear
blue
sky
over all the waisted
talent
doom
awakening into thoughts
of doom
after a night of disturbing dreams
might not be
the most enthusiastic way
to begin a day
though
deciding to sit with it
this world of gloom and doom
only to be told by an invisible voice
all shall be well
might be the antidote to hell
eternally
the sadness of feeling
eternally misunderstood
might only express
there are parts
of our nature
we are unable to take
responsibility for
almost impossible
mercy
can be almost impossible
to embrace
when we have spent a life
locked in the conviction of being
both life
