by creating space and time

to be able to do so

listening inwards also requires

being available

to take into account

whatever surfaces

another cold morning

potent with purpose

kindled with care

honouring the honesty

of being aware

calling situations

and circumstances

by their proper name

is essential

to be able to forgive

hence move on

while as long as forgiveness is withheld

whatever might not be forgiven

tend to turn against

ourselves

leaving behind

inadequate behaviour

by leaving the state of survival

to enter a state of joy

as spring unfold unrelentingly

in every girl and boy

dreams of a rare clarity

accompanying a night

of frost and shining stars

wakening into sunshine

and a heavy body

wondering how to proceed

golden threads

running through a life

so mysteriously different

from how it was imagined

and yet in so many ways

the mirror of

a broken imagination

though even imagination

can heal

misunderstandings covering

the inner landscape

like morning mist

as too many layers of transparency

creates impenetrable lies

yet somewhere the light is still

shining bright

a gentle soft opening

into the sacred

as subtle

as the smell of spring

in the air

inner control

as an opposition to outer control

creating resistance

in both directions

suffocating the life

so longed for

always there

to be seized

entering vulnerability

with gentle steps

not to fast

not to slow

just holding it

and holding the sacred

high
