respecting everybody’s vulnerability
can sometimes feel
unfeasible
respecting one’s own vulnerability
might be a good place
to begin
while the birds continue
to sing

Just another WordPress site
respecting everybody’s vulnerability
can sometimes feel
unfeasible
respecting one’s own vulnerability
might be a good place
to begin
while the birds continue
to sing
the shift of moon announcing
shift of gravity
where routines are still precious
for great many reasons
as structure to shape
what can otherwise be
formless
as frames to break
when the needs of life
are to break
without destroying
as something to come back to
and let focus emerge
when the wind of diversity
is getting too strong
as something to rely on
while the mind grows wild
as something to leave
when the minds grow rigid
as something to cherish
when the mind grows lonely
as something to lean into
when the mind grows sad
learning to be vulnerable
without losing integrity
is
like learning a new language
a new alphabet
a different grammar
a complexity of phonetics
yet underneath the whole
love is still running
like a river
and the wind continuing to blow
meeting another person
in their proper needs
not in our own needs
not in our own ideas about
their needs
but in their proper needs
can be a challenge
meeting oneself in ones own proper needs
perhaps even more
while twittering birds announces
a new season
and gales are howling
elsewhere
facing reality is a strange exercise
coming in pieces
to be puzzled together
into a whole
which might not be
reality
either
there is no such thing
as an easy life
there is a way to position oneself
towards the life we are given
when a dark shadow
seems to be overshadowing
the whole room
searching for the monument
throwing the shadow
could be a way
for light to return
at other times
all one can do
is to leave the room
with the consciousness
that any shadow is
in its own way
an expression of the presence
of light
independence can also be
the acknowledgement
of interdependency
when the courage to live
is leaking
life becomes nothing but
survival
and joy a simple idea
with no tangible reality
making friends with the past
is a way for mercy
to settle peace
where shame has ruled
and ruined
