memorial

a glimpse of the moon

to celebrate an ancestor

bringing to the surface

memories

which nourished the imaginary world

of a child

inconceivable

when time has come

to surrender

there is no longer anything

to resist

only a reality to acknowledge

while learning to live with

what was considered

inconceivable

yoke

a gentle wind

playing with the treetops

a stratified sky

of pink and blue

withdrawing the yoke of suffering

is to be done

with care

tasks

carrying forgiveness

to hidden corners of our pain

is also

a task

not necessarily glorious in the eyes of everyone

but glorious

all the same

solemnly

one single bird is calling

through the darkness

which otherwise is solemnly silent

while dawn breaks through

no song of expectations

greets the season of little light

which does not make it less

precious

behold

explaining

what is perceived

with no explanation

as a reality

is perhaps

a lost case

all one can do

is to bear witness

down

darkness is growing again

cooler days announcing

what is to come

keeping silence

when it is time to tell the truth

can be just as devastating as

telling the truth

when it is time to keep silence

upside

while wind is chasing

the heat away

even when without either wish

nor intention

turning everything upside down

can also be a sort of

freedom
