staying with

our own perception

without condemnation

nor search for

approval

letting it unfold

to show

where truth lies

mirroring

observing dawn

breaking the night

on a blank sea

mirroring the world

to perfection

pronouncing

pronouncing a prayer

of praise

might sound preposterous

in a period of reason

yet

pronouncing a prayer of praise

might also be

the foundation of peace

illuminated

frost on the grass

softly illuminated

by the tender morning sun

revealing the facet of freedom

having unfolded

during the night

in touch

it is perfectly possible

to prove oneself right

without ever being

in touch

with truth

otherwise

a subtle tension

nothing unpleasant

in any manner

just to draw the attention

towards something

which is otherwise

just

taken for granted

hence not cared for

as it ought to be

whom

in order to be

reliable

it is essential

to discern

whom

we rely upon

and whom we wish

being able to

rely upon us

neighbour

being able to meet

our neighbour

where our neighbour truly is

and not where we want

or wish

or believe

our neighbour

to be

is an exercise

of introspection
