established

truth

is not

defined by

whether or not

it can be

approved

and recognised as such

by everybody

truth

is more than often

being rejected

while

breaking into

the established

the difference being

whether we dare to believe

haughty

waking up to

a sudden fear

that the saying

pride goes before destruction

and a haughty spirit before a fall

is to be one’s fate

can be experienced

as a blessing

in so far as it means

the conviction is

no longer latent

all the more

when the antidote

coming to the mind

sounds

the angel of light

walks with glory

approved

searching for approval

is a natural compulsion

of the human mind

perhaps impossible

to eradicate

though we are given the freedom

to decide

by whom

we wish to be

approved

imposing

having spent life

pushing

it can feel

illegitimate

no longer to do so

until it becomes a habit

to reveal

what is already there

rather than imposing

on the world

what was never meant

to be

pillar

finding oneself

standing

in a pillar

of the compassionate light

of mercy

while being under an assault

of powerful

accusations

can be

an experience

of bliss

quiet wonder

having lived

with a blurred vision

and suddenly being able

to see clear

is a quiet wonder

to be treasured

and pondered

in the heart

spending

sometimes we are exhausted

simply because

we are not given

to fulfil

our purpose

hence spending our strength

trying to be

what we are not

goodness

one thing is

to trust

in goodness

and believe in all

that is good

another thing is

to be convinced

we know

what is good

putting

no longer permanently

putting

a restraint on oneself

is about

the most natural thing

one can experience

and yet

to reach the summit

of that freedom

might lead through

the valley of tears

and the forest of shadowland
