losing everything

in one single sentence

is all the more painful

when repetitive

whether that everything

is a kingdom

or an inner shelter

makes no difference

to the loser

being out of tune

is indeed unpleasant

sometimes even upsetting

yet

it happens to the most precious of instruments

when the confusion of darkness

is rolling in

on what seemed to be

an innocent landscape

resisting it seems to be

the shortest way to defeat

changing it

something close to

an impossibility

where there are so many ways

to accept

without losing ourselves to it

when dark clouds are gathering

it is time to protect

what needs protection

and search for shelter

even if

and when

the clouds are only gathering

in the mind

all the more

if

and when

the clouds are only gathering

in the mind

when nothing comes

to the mind

it does not necessarily mean

there is nothing on it

only

that this stillness is claiming

an even more alert attentiveness

obtaining what we want

can be of great satisfaction

in many regards considered a victory

though

it does not always mean

this is what was appropriate

for life to expand

solving what could be called

other people’s challenges

can feel like a shortcut

to glory

though the question one can ask

in such situations is

whether one is after

inner peace

or admiration

they both open towards

what can be called glory indeed

though in rather different dimensions

openness can be

so many things

openness can also be

to express one’s limits

clear and transparent

soft and kind

not as an attack

nor as a defence

just expressing the observation of

the limitations given by

nature

knowing how to suffer

might be the beginning of freedom

good health might be

accepting what we are given

also when it was not what we expected

nor what we wished

entering a state of lightness

with clean windows

and transparency

while nature around unfold

into beauty

might be a beginning of

leaving the chains of burdens behind
