when the door

to the deeper meaning

of everything

for one reason

or the other

has been closed

the gates to the tyranny

of emotions

are left

wide open

accepting

our weaknesses

opens the door

to compassion

though it might not lead

to unanimous admiration

when mockery has become

the way

to respond

to vulnerability

love is often lost

in translation

as the one being

vulnerable

and ridiculed

might not see the fun of it

coming to faith

can only be

a personal path

and yet

we never walk it

alone

when being transparent

no longer means

being invisible

rather

that the light of the soul

is given to shine

freely

into the world

somewhere

somehow

a grain of determination

has grown into a shrub

of love

trying to explain

the unexplainable

is like wishing to fathom

the unfathomable

where all we are asked

is

to lean back

and

receive

in acceptance of

who we are

and what we will

never be

no longer to

neglect

the urgency

of the call

we are all

here

to answer

in our own

specific way

no longer to be

dependent on

projections

in order to define

the worth of

who we are

is an essential step

towards inner freedom

preposterous

pretentiousness

to cover up

for the unworthiness

forgiven

so long

ago

while survival is still

more important

than

being alive

with or without

the company of

an owl

calling

through the night

when the absurd part

of our behaviours

is lain open

and visible

purpose can begin

to prosper
