besieged

being forgiven

for our failures

without any unspoken accusations

running beneath

entering trust

where fear had besieged

the heart

touching freedom

from a heritage

which was more than anything

a burden

in order to deliver

the love

we are given

right and just

when the habit of trusting

what is right

and just

has been overruled by

the instinct

of survival

it can take time

to gain back confidence

in what is right and just

and trust

no apparent reason

falling asleep in gratitude

and waking up

in despair

for no apparent reason

can be

a bit of a gap

to bridge

misuse

how to honour

rather than misuse

the trust we are given

is indeed a question

worth asking

for justice to rule

and beauty to expand

in the world of man

rebuilding

rebuilding trust

after a life in

suspicion

might touch

areas

we do not wish

to enter

and show sides of us

we do not wish

to face

yet

without doing so

trust cannot

prevail

no matter what

being at peace

with what

we are given

no matter what

that might be

is also a way

to be free

released

finally being

released

from the sensation of feeling

eternally rejected

can be perceived as

an experience of

resurrection
