when appearance

breaking the pattern
of dependence
is an ongoing act
of liberation
like a river
running below
everything we do
or do not
do
perverse
staying in desire
without aiming it
towards the heart
turns our deeds into
perverse manipulation
no matter how glorious
the desire was
in the outset
making us believe
happiness is found in possession
rather than in love
breathtakingly
to observe the scaffolding
fall apart
which has been holding together
one’s whole life
while the cathedral of the soul
was under construction
is breathtakingly moving
entering the cathedral
yet another story
madness
diving into
the madness
of this world
leaves a sensation
under the skin
of unease
and insufficiency
while the glory of
what is beyond
embrace
unworthiness
unendingly
when only we
are able
to let it
thirst
the unquenchable thirst
burning inside
every being
for life
to thrive
might bring us into
predicament
and lead us astray
yet what a wonder
when patience allows
the heart to reveal
the glorious way
running below
succeed
receiving
whatever comes
with calm confidence
that all shall be well
seems a miracle
after having spent a life in fear
of how
to succeed
instinctive
avoidance is
the instinctive answer
to suffering
and pain
though avoidance might not be
the answer
we are here
to give
disagreeable
seizing power
while intimacy
is becoming too intimate
is as natural as
waging war
while disagreement
is becoming too disagreeable
yet none of the solutions are
the most appropriate
for peace to
prevail
