is a difficult and delicate operation

where only subtle awareness

can proceed

it is when we refuse

to care for ourselves

that we become

selfish

being told

that one’s understanding of things

has nothing to do

with reality

is always disturbing

but when it is true

it is also an invitation

to face

the truth

saying no

when no is meant

and yes

when yes is meant

is just as complex

as it sounds simple

turning away

from what

we know to be true

is never

without

consequences

no matter what excuse we find

to do so

everything happens for

a reason

even when

the reason seems

unreasonable

unfair

unintelligible

there is no such thing

as a simple solution

as every harmonious solution

is necessarily

simplifying

as complicated as it might seems

to carry it out
