darkness is closing in on us again
the nights are slowly growing longer
and this ancestral fear
of whether we will make it through the winter
is moving its tale in the corner
where it slept so innocently all summer
as if nothing could ever harm us again
it is not a dangerous beast
this fear of ours
just an animal that sometimes gets hungry
and need some tender affection
to stay cornered
a pure product
of our minds
which is to be taken serious as such
but never to be given a power
it cannot administrate without destroying
unless we wish to live
in the tyranny of fear
